With approx. 27 rooms and an area of approx. 4,476 m², it offers accommodation for tired hikers at an altitude of 2,076 m with breathtaking views and is ideal for accommodating school classes or vacationers who want to escape the heat in the hot summer months. It is not without reason that Austria’s longest cog railroad has set one visitor record after another. Around 3,750 rides in one day are not uncommon on busy days. The Schneebergbahn, which has already reached a very high level in terms of passenger numbers, attracts more and more people every year.

The highest mountain in Lower Austria and its traditional cog railroad, including all the possibilities in the paradise of views, on the countless hiking trails and in the rustic mountain huts, promise an unforgettable excursion and plenty of variety – a trip up the Schneeberg pays off in many ways, and more and more people are realizing this. Last year alone, 169,000 trips were registered on the Schneebergbahn – 26,000 or 19 percent more than in the previous year.
